Our Legislative Agenda is a toolkit for advocates and legislators alike to get a sense of our current goals. Currently, our advocacy is focused on increasing Wisconsin Arts Board grant funding and establishing the Rural Creative Economy Development Program.
Advocacy happens through relationship-building with your legislators. Be sure to schedule a meeting, call their office, email, or write them introducing yourself and your concerns for your community. You can find your legislator by entering your address here.
Advocacy can happen at the state and local level. You can advocate for the creative economy at town hall meetings and within your local community. Support the creative economy in your community by shopping local and attending events.
Create Wisconsin Day is our largest annual symposium featuring speakers from across Wisconsin. Every year we help create and strengthen connections between advocates, lawmakers, and creatives across the state—all united in our shared passion for creativity.
Our advocacy toolkit gives you the facts, figures, and information you need to advocate effectively. In addition to our toolkit, we regularly host events (such as our annual Create Wisconsin Day) that focus on building advocacy skills.
Don’t have time to email or talk to your legislators? That’s okay! Create Wisconsin advocates on your behalf thanks to individual donations and the support of arts organizations across Wisconsin.
