The November 3 election is coming up sooner than we can imagine. We’ve got consequential races in Wisconsin: all eight House of Representative seats, Governor, Lt. Governor, and Attorney General, half of the State Senate (odd numbered seats) and all 99 State Assemblypeople are on the ballot.
Create Wisconsin, as the state’s community cultural development organization, is the only independent statewide organization calling attention to and speaking up for the arts and creative economy in every corner of the state.
As part of our work to shine a spotlight on the arts and creative economy during the critically important election and future state budget seasons, we are hosting monthly Creative Conversations on advocacy and action for the gubernatorial and legislative candidate races, the state budget process, regional conferences, and, the importance of being involved in civic issues from the ground up.
We’ve scheduled sessions from September through December:
- Monday, September 14, 2-3 pm
- Monday, October 12, 2-3 pm
- November (same session repeated twice)
- December (same session repeated twice)
Register for one or all to learn about and discuss candidate engagement, issues and policy development, and strategies for success as we approach the general election on Tuesday, November 3, and move into the state budget season right after that. You’ll receive Zoom information when you sign up, and follow-up materials after the meeting.
