Create Wisconsin Month - celebrated annually throughout the month of April - highlights the diversity and variety of Wisconsin’s amazing arts and creative sector, demonstrates the ways in which creativity revitalizes communities across the state, and shares those stories with representatives and decision-makers. April is National Poetry Month! A time to celebrate poets and their craft locally and globally.

April 4-6: Wisconsin Screenwriters’ Symposium, in conjunction with the first weekend of the Wisconsin Film Festival.
Tuesday, April 15: World Art Day - an international celebration of fine arts, declared by the International Association of Art ( IAA /AIAP), a partner of UNESCO, in order to promote awareness of creative activity worldwide. April 15 also marks Leonardo da Vinci's birthday.
Monday, April 14 - Sunday, April 20: World Creativity and Innovation Week - sharing creativity globally.

Sunday, April 20: World Creativity & Innovation Day (#WCID), the United Nations International Day of Observation empowering people to use new ideas, make new decisions, and make the world a better place.

History
Create Wisconsin Month includes and goes beyond Arts Day, a one-day program hosted by Arts Wisconsin (as Create Wisconsin was previously known) 1998-2019, and . Begun in April 2020, Create Wisconsin Month each April provides 30 days of programming to celebrate the arts, culture, and creativity in every corner of the state.
